The Birth Plan Creation service offers expectant parents the opportunity to outline their ideal birth experience in a comprehensive, personalized plan. This is a form of advocacy! Whether you're planning a hospital birth, home birth, or birth center experience, this is a tool to help you consider all aspects of the process, ensuring your wishes are clearly communicated and respected.
What Is Offered:
Consultation: A one-on-one session with me to understand your preferences and priorities, including pain management, support during labor, delivery methods, and postpartum care. This can be done virtually through text, email, call, or video chat. We talk about each stage of the birth experience, your preferences, the risks and benefits of different procedures, evidence based practices, comfort measures, and more. I am here to help provide the right resources so you can make an informed decision that’s right for your family.
Comprehensive Coverage: Your plan will cover topics such as:
Labor preferences (positions, support people, lighting, etc.)
Pain relief options (medication, natural pain relief techniques)
Birth interventions (induction, monitoring, cesarean section, etc.)
Afterbirth care (skin-to-skin contact, breastfeeding, newborn care, etc.)
Updates & Flexibility: Labor can be unpredictable. Your plan will include contingencies and flexibility in case of changes or medical interventions, ensuring you're comfortable and informed at every step. Your birth plan is not concrete, it is a guide, and I’m happy to make any changes at any time if needed.
Final Product: If you are local (within 25 miles of Cameron Park, CA), you can choose to have your birth plan hand-delivered by me and laminated (2 copies) for an additional $10 OR you can have them delivered digitally immediately. Please choose at checkout :)
