Hi, I’m Tanya!

Before becoming a mother, I immersed myself in learning about birth- to avoid unnecessary medicalization and coercion, and to truly understand the magic and wisdom of my own body. I quickly realized how much we’ve been taught to distrust our physiology, and how empowering it felt to relearn what is innate and ancient within us.

My first birth, at home, was transformative. It opened my eyes to the power of personalized care and pushed me to dive fully into birthwork, so I could serve other women and families seeking a similar path. My second birth was a powerful freebirth at home, surrounded by my closest friends and family. It took me even deeper- into surrender, into trust, into the raw connection between body, spirit, and baby.

Now, as a mother of two, I’m here to offer grounded, compassionate support for your unique path- trusting your rhythms, honoring your choices, and reminding you that you were made for this.

Each and every one of us have a different perception of safety and spirit. We thrive in different circumstances. We are not a one-fits-all nor should we be! It was important for me to make choices that aligned with me best while also making the safest decision for my family which may (likely) not look the same for others. The only commonality that you should share with me when working together is the desire for connection.

Taken much from my own experience, I continue to further my education in women’s health and stay present in the beautiful and magical space of birth work so I can serve and support other women and new families who find themselves wanting a more connective experience.

The little things that have big impacts are often overlooked. What we experience can sometimes be unpredictable and our world has built a system that has created such disconnect in the most transformative life event! I’m here to remind you that your body is wise, your choices matter, and creating life is meaningful.

It truly takes a village, and I’m honored to be part of yours.

Testimonies

  • "My personal experience with Tanya as my doula could not have been any more perfect. She did such a fantastic job being my voice at the hospital, making sure to ask questions that I wouldn't have even thought to ask, explaining things to me when I seemed confused or out of it. She made the atmosphere so calm even when I was struggling really bad at times and she did everything in her power to ease my mind. I could not have asked for a more perfect person to be my doula! If my husband and I ever do decide to have another baby she is 100% my first choice to be with me every step of the way!”
    - Morgan M.

  • "My experience with Tanya was absolutely lovely. Tanya is kind-spirited and gentle, making her approachable and easy to talk to. She came to all the prenatal appointments prepared and ready to listen and learn about my family and needs for my unmedicated delivery. Her attentiveness to my birth plan and needs paid off during my labor and I'm so grateful to her for that. She endured 24 hours of labor with me and never left my side for more than a food/bathroom break; she worked with the midwives to help my labor progress by offering different positions, she ensured my wishes and birth plan were respected, and she guided my husband in helping me with pain relief. She also was consistent with applying counter pressure throughout nearly the entire labor and I couldn't have made it through without that. I ended up with a successful VBAC delivery after a total of 34 hours of labor.

Tanya offered to take photos during my labor and was able to capture some beautiful moments while being mindful of the flash and noises the camera made. I never knew when she was taking photos and the end results were so special to me.

If Tanya had not been there, me and my husband agree that it would have been a very different experience. We would have felt so lost without her guidance and support. We hope she's available for our next baby's delivery!"

  • “Tanya was such an amazing doula to have throughout my pregnancy and after as well. She is professional and helps educate on new ,sometimes complicated, topics. She makes the birth experience feel so much less stressful.”
